On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 7 p.m., some lectures from "Venturing in Italy: travels in Puglia, land between two seas" will take place at the Museo Italo Americano in San Francisco.
In the book, nineteen writers set loose in the region narrate their experience. History abounds in Puglia, from prehistoric caverns to archeological sites of Greek and Roman cities and temples, from houses built in caves to stone trulli to medieval castles and fortresses. Today's Puglia is vibrantly alive with unique local wines and cuisine, thermal spas, championship golf courses and its own music.
The evening will feature a power point photo presentation too.
