Not far from Alberobello lies Contrada Monte del Sale, where you may visit an abandoned village of trulli nestled in a truly charming landscape. A few kilometres away lies Contrada Marziolla, in Locorotondo, with its dry walls bounding woods, megalithic constructions and stone cottages. Here lies a solitary trullo dating back some five hundred years. Contrada Figazzano, situated in the very heart of the Itria Valley, hosts a picturesque living Nativity during the Christmas festivities. Finally, you may reach Contrada Pascarosa, rising on a hill in the vicinity of Ostuni, to admire the splendid view and the town’s small church and square.
