The tales told by local museums

From the Ionian to the Adriatic, there are numerous collections recounting the local history, culture and traditions: the Museo Etnografico “Majorano” in Taranto, the Museo delle Ceramiche e delle Maioliche in Grottaglie, the Museo della Civiltà Contadina in the Masseria Lupoli in Crispiano, and the Museo del Parco delle Pianelle in Martina Franca, to name a few. Having visiting the museums of the Taranto region, we suggest taking a break in the Bari area, in particular in Alberobello, to visit the Museo del Territorio in a village of trulli and – prolonging your journey slightly – the Museo della Civiltà Contadina in Sammichele and the Museo Etnografico dell’Alta Murgia in Altamura.
