Adriatic Puglia on two wheels

The itinerary begins in Bari, the seagull of the Adriatic, where a trip to the Basilica di San Nicola and the Norman-Swabian castle is an absolute must. We continue south-bound along the coast road (Strada Statale 16) as far as Polignano a Mare, characterised by a stunning historical centre nestled along imposing cliffs and by panoramic terrace-cultivations overlooking the open sea. To round off, continuing southwards, the town of Ostuni constitutes another obligatory stop, for an amble along the historical centre’s steep narrow lanes and a visit to the imposing Gothic-Romanesque cathedral.

Basilica di San Nicola (Bari)
Norman-Swabian Castle (Bari)
