Placed in the Messapi area of Egnathia ancient Roman town, this museum hosts items covering a long time span: from Bronze era to Middle Ages. The three exhibitions available deal with Bronze-age settlements along the Apulian Adriatic coast; magnificent mosaic floors coming from Roman Taranto mansions, and an exhibition on the history of Egnazia.
Main Works:
A marble "head of Attis" (testa di Attis), dated back from Roman era, and a mosaic portraying the three Graces.
