The Natural History Museum opened to the public in 1975. It has an indoor part divided into three sections: natural history, archaeology and a section presenting a large scale model of the Gargano Promontory, and an outdoor section in which a village of charcoal-burners and woodcutters has been reconstructed with an instructional tour route.
