The Michele de Napoli Picture Gallery unites an impressive number of works by the artist from Terlizzi, Michele de Napoli (1808-1892). More than one thousand drawings, preliminary studies, sketches, and paintings were donated by the artist to the City of Terlizzi in 1892 with the intention of exhibiting them in the building where he lived, which was also donated to the city. Inside are a number of works on religious, historical, and mythological subjects, as well as portraits, figurative studies, and still lifes, representing the stylistic research of Michele de Napoli and, more generally, of the artistic culture of the late nineteenth century. The building, a typical eighteenth-century residence with an elegant ashlar faŤade, is once again splendid following expert restoration, making it the perfect venue for organising temporary exhibitions and didactic workshops
