Near the commercial port of Gallipoli, west of the historic district, lies the small marina of San Giorgio, a favourite with yachts and small fishing boats. In fact, there are few docks available to private boat owners.  The western side of the inlet is protected by an outer breakwater, while to the east there is an extension of the offshore quay of the commercial port. The marina also hosts the headquarters of the Sailing Club.
