Palazzo Torres in Trani, a famous seat of important regional institutions, also used as Corte di Appello (Court of Appeal) in Puglia until a hundred years ago, was built in the first half of the 16ht century at the behest of Martino Torres.
The building is sober and elegant, characterised by an impressive portal which, although it is big and has simple decorations, offers a majestic and refined entrance.
The house, located between the cathedral and the castle, housed the first theatre of the city at the beginning of the 19th century. Nowadays is the seat of the Istituti Giuiziari di Trani (Judicial Institute).
The palace dates back to the first half of the XVI century.
