It was built between 1928 and 1933 and is located in a central position with reference to the urban area, near Palazzo del Governo. It covers a 2,800 sq.m. area and has a pentagonal shape determining a sturdy and austere general look, strengthened by the huge half columns embedded on three sides. The back side is characterised by a 35 m tall tower enhancing its vertical projection thanks to two angular pilaster strips almost touching the frame of the covered roof terrace surrounding the bell room. The harmony with the surrounding environment is enhanced by the materials used such as the mazzaro duro and white stone from Trani, whereas the large wall facings are made of bricks.
