Masseria San Pietro, near the Mar Piccolo, is agrandiose architectural complex characterised by a group of several buildings, the origins of which can be traced to different periods. There are three main buildings: the owner's manor, the buildings once used to house the farmhands, and the medieval church. Two internal courtyards connect the various areas: from the noble 17th-18th-century palace one enters a closed court that in turn opens onto another court that is even larger, enclosed by the buildings used by the farmhands. This is the oldest part of the structure, dating back ot the 17th century. In perspctive, this structure closed the south side of basilica of SS. Pietro e Andrea, probably erected between the 10th and 12th centuries and characterised by a longitudinal layout with three naves and a apsidal basin frescoed in keeping with Byzantine dictates. Not far from the complex it is possible to admire a small tower, a portico used as a sheepfold and a large underground olive press.
