Masseria Bosco, in the countryside of Avetrana, is a historic farm dating back to the 1600s and characterised by the groups of buildings arranged around a central building, the owner's manor. The manor is surrounded by a series of buildings once uses as lodgings for the farmhands and stalls, including the 'jazzo', or the oldest nucleus of the entire complex. Subsequent additions over the centuries led to the birth of new buildings, like stalls with large fireplaces, the chapel, the warehouses and storage for dairy products (17th century) and the main floor destined for the farmer's residence (18th century). Another relic of the traditional agricultural-pastoral vocation of this area is the Salentine stepped 'trullo' located in the area that was once destined to counting sheep, the ancient mule track and the courtyard used for the processing of grain with the 'pisara', the large stone towed by a mule.
