Nearby an ancient watchtower, known as Torre Testa, the water of Canale Giancola flows into the sea.
Beyond the coastline Brindisi-Apani, the channel widens in a large surface, with marsh reeds and quite big bodies of water.
Walking from the mouth to the source, the channel is flanked by the rushes and by a tick and scented area of Mediterranean scrub, which covers the high walls with sandstone. In the surrounding area, instead, there are lawns and cultivated fields.
