The Nature Reserve Palude di Frattarolo (Frattarolo Marsh) is a protected area in the Municipality of Manfredonia, in the province of Foggia.
It covers 257 hectares and is located inside the Gargano National Park, boasting the lush vegetation of the lagoon, the perfect habitat for birds to stop off and to nest, among them the grey herons, black-winged stilts, common moorhens, coots and western marsh harriers.
Where the soil is stable and is richer in salt, the flora boasts expanses of common glasswort, while in other places dotted with tamarisk and willows.
