Every year on the 6th of August, stands are set up through the lanes of the historical centre, where passersby may sample typical local dishes: mutton cooked in large terracotta pots (carne te pecora alla pignata), homemade pasta cut into squares and served in a spicy meat and chickpea sauce (ciciri e tria), and pasta served with a meat and ricotta sauce (caiubbi cu lu casu ricotta). The event provides the ideal opportunity to taste some of the best wines produced by local firms and cooperatives.
