A tour to see the find in the Santa Maria di Agnano cave, near Ostuni: the skeleton of a woman who died 25000 years ago (nicknamed Delia), and of her unborn child. The body bears funerary decorations, which include seashell bracelets and other stone and bone artefacts. The cave is also filled with other traces that chronicle mankind’s history from Palaeolithic times to the Middle Ages. Next stop is the “Coastal Dunes from Torre Canne to Torre S. Leonardo” Nature Park, which serves as a unique testament to Mediterranean biodiversity. This habitat spans various ecosystems: the sea, the beach and the dunes. The area is home to many different bird species that use it in their migration routes because of its mild climate, while its salty waters are home to grey mullets, eels and sea breams.
