A tour of nature, history and culture through the enchanted archipelago of the Tremiti Islands. There are ample opportunities for snorkelling and to explore the colourful seabed with its amazing flora and fauna: all sorts of sea breams, octopuses and moray eels. The Isle of San Domino, the archipelago’s largest, offers marvellous scenic vistas of pine forests that reach out to the rocky cliffs overlooking the sea. The boat trip around the island is fantastic, and offers an opportunity to see the craggy coastline and its numerous caves. The Isle of San Nicola, instead, is the archipelago’s historic and religious hub, with a wonderful trail that winds along the isle’s defensive walls up to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria a Mare, erected in 1045 A.D. by Benedictine monks.
