The tour starts in Manfredonia with a visit to the Castle overlooking the sea, with its distinctly Swabian style, and which hosts the National Archaeological Museum. The museum is full of artefacts that chronicle the region’s history from the first Neolithic settlements to the city’s foundation. It contains 1500 fascinating limestone tombstones of the Daunii civilization, with mounted sculpted heads and beautiful geometric decorations that identify the deceased’s social status or trade. The tour continues in Molfetta, where you will visit the Diocesan Museum, which was recently renovated. The museum hosts paintings, including the Apulian artwork of Corrado Giaquinto, sacred silverware, wood sculptures, archaeological artefacts and contemporary artwork. Final stop is Miragica, a themed amusement park, where you will enjoy the thrilling rides and fun filled shows.
