It is a place located in the archaeological site of the ancient town of Gnathia. By convention, it is called “amphitheatre” but, in fact, it does not present all the elements of this kind of building: stands and cellars, all necessary elements in a building for shows.

Because of its central position and fenced structure with two entrances, it is probable that it was a supplementary square besides the forum used as a market place. Outside the park there is an archaeological museum.
