The Church of Saint Matthew was erected in 1667 on a design by architect Giovanni Andrea Larducci and exhibits the typical architectural features of central Italian churches at the height of the baroque period. The church contains extremely fine and important works, such as a wooden Pietà, a XVII-century work from Veneto, the two pairs of saints sculpted out of local stone, maybe by Mauro Manieri; S. Oronzo in glory; S. Anne with the Virgin and the Holy Family, canvasses by Serafino Elmo, who is the author of the Adoration of the Shepherds.
